Madres, hijas, hermanas, compañeras y amigas quedespués de una búsqueda exhaustiva encontraron la sororidad como punto dereencuentro, entre ellas mismas, nosotras y ustedes. Esta muestra nos lleva en un viaje através de la necesidad de cada una de ellas, e invita a interiorizar el significado, y laconnotación que cada una le otorgó, de la SORORIDAD.

La sororidad como una nueva cosmovisión, como un despertar a la conciencia y a la esperanza de alcanzar un sistema social distinto a aquel en que vivimos. Un sistema social, que no obedezca a una visión de poder androcentrista, en la que la creación es atribuida a una divinidad masculina. Un sistema sin la justificación mitológica para la misoginia, que convierte a las mujeres en seres impuras y perniciosas, en las grandes culpables de todos los males. Un sistema que no controle y castigue a las mujeres, reduciéndolas a las limitantes funciones de la reproducción, cría y oficios domésticos.“La Trinidad no santa” es una nueva concepción de la creación del mundo, una creación en la que son las mujeres quienes han parido a la humanidad, gestándola en su propio en cuerpo. Al centro la sabiduría ancestral y el conocimiento de la mujer anciana, a su izquierda y derecha dos mujeres más jóvenes, en representación de la diversidad de la especie humana y en sus brazos la esperanza de una nueva vida.Con ellas, la imagen de tres mariposas, en memoria de las mujeres asesinadas por la violencia machista, haciendo referencia a las hermanas Mirabal (República Dominicana), quienes fueron brutalmente asesinadas por su resistencia y activismo contra la dictadura de Rafael Trujillo en 1960. De fondo, la luna en sus etapas como símbolo de nuestra naturaleza cíclica, relacionada con los veintiocho días del ciclo menstrual; además de nuestra conexión más cercana y directa al cosmos infinito, al cual pertenece nuestro planeta Tierra.

A social system, which does not obey an androcentric vision of power, in which creation is attributed to a masculine divinity. A system without the mythological justification for misogyny, which turns women into impure and pernicious beings, the great culprits of all evils. A system that does not control and punish women, reducing them to the limiting functions of reproduction, breeding and domestic tasks. "The unholy Trinity" is a new conception of the creation of the world, a creation in which it is women who They have given birth to humanity, managing it on their own in body. At the center is the ancient wisdom and knowledge of the elderly woman, on her left and right two younger women, representing the diversity of the human species and in her arms the hope of a new life. La palabra apapacho se relaciona con el vocablo náhuatl “apapachoa”, que se castellaniza como “acariciar con el alma”. A lo largo de la historia, las mujeres nos hemos dedicado a acariciar con el alma a otras personas; pero, pocas veces nos acariciarnos a nosotras mismas el alma. El abrazo de la abuela, de la madre, de la hermana, de la hija y de la amiga, se funden en uno solo, y nos calentamos el alma en esta muestra de amor propio.

"Empathy“, representa el encuentro de dos mujeres, que bien pueden ser dos amigas o incluso una madre con su hija; una recostada sobre la otra, como un símbolo del apoyo que encontramos en otras mujeres, en diferentes ocasiones.Ambas se presentan desnudas, por la razón de que la desnudez significa transparencia,autenticidad, ausencia de vergüenza. Es en esta oportunidad donde deseamos proponer un plural representado gráficamente por medio de los brazos y manos de dos mujeres rompiendo con la estructura de culturas y con la estructura de elites. Rompiendo con la estructura de un icono, de un rostro; un poco con ironía, como lo hacía el POPART.También deseamos burlarnos directamente de este estilo, convirtiéndolo en algo más humano y menos comercial, como lo es él mismo. Un grito en oposición de un estilo, en oposición a una época, en oposición a la mujer como objeto. Y enfatizar que para lograr esto, se debe de hacer no sola, sino en conjunto, ayudando a la compañera a crecer, rompiendo con la idea de que la mujer debe de estar sola, sin amigas que la influencien, porque nos han enseñado que juntas somos problemáticas, y la verdad es que podemos hacer todo, y aún más, si lo hacemos juntas.
